Leontine Suites is located in Bustan HaGalil, facing a historic aqueduct near Kibbutz Lohamei HaGeta’ot. South of the kibbutz, near the Ghetto Fighters’ House Museum, an impressive aqueduct crosses above the Yesaf streambed. The aqueduct was built during the Ottoman period and carried water from the springs of Kabri toward the city of Acre. Remains of the aqueduct can also be found in other parts of the region and even in Acre itself, but this is one of the most impressive and beautifully preserved sections.
The aqueduct can be seen right outside the complex. At night, it is beautifully illuminated, and a short moonlit walk through the village offers a rare and especially romantic view. In the morning, early risers can watch the sunrise over the aqueduct — a quiet, moving and truly unique sight.
Near the edge of the village, and within a short walking distance, lies a natural beach between Acre and Shavei Zion. It is a perfect place to visit toward sunset, sit by the sea, enjoy a good drink and let the vacation take on a slower, softer rhythm.
